Nickel 625

Specs: AMS 5666, ASTM-B-446 GRADE 1

UNS# NO6625

Nickel 625 is a Nickel-Chromium based superalloy used where extreme temperatures and pressures are prevalent. Also known as Inconel 625, this grade is heavily used in the aerospace industry, often for turbine blades, turbocharger rotors and seals, heat exchanger tubing, pressure vessels, and more. Nickel 625 forms a protective layer on its surface when heated, protecting the material from further heat and corrosive damage.

This grade can perform well in temperatures from below -238°F to 1800°F while maintaining mechanical and corrosion-resistant properties. The uses for this material vary widely, from heavy use in marine defense for propeller blades, submarine fittings and auxiliary propulsion motors, exhaust ducts, and transducer controls, to nuclear applications such as reactor-core and control rod components
