What is 40CrMnMo7 Steel? 

40CrMnMo7 is classified as a medium-alloy, quenched and tempered engineering steel. Its performance is defined by the strategic combination of its primary alloying elements: chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), and molybdenum (Mo). These elements work together to deliver high strength, exceptional toughness, and reliable hardenability even in larger cross-sections. 

This grade is typically supplied in the quenched and tempered (Q&T) condition, providing a ready-to-use material with a pre-defined hardness and strength profile.
